These saunas all are roughly equivalent. All have very low Radiance (amount of infrared generated per unit area) and poor Proximity (percentage of the infrared that actually hits the body.


In general the smaller saunas work better than the larger saunas by bringing the heater closer to the body, which mitigates some of the proximity problem.


Most of these brands are infamous for Bad Science and phenomenal Hype.

*Terms Used: Radiance is the amount of infrared produced by the heater surface, usually defined as watts per unit measure. Proximity means how much of the infrared produced is actually focused on, and reaches, the body. Micron Range is the range of infrared wavelengths emitted from the heater surface. Efficiency is what percentage of the heat produced is infrared.
